Walking stick early 20th century, circa 1900/1920. 14K gold handle, 14K gold cord rings, tortoiseshell-lined wooden stick, metal lower tip. Good overall condition.
DIMENSIONS: length 85.5 cm. - pommel 2.5 x 2 cm.

Article 8 paragraph b of Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 (CITES), also known as the "antique derogation", allows the sale of this type of object (defined as pre-1947). Current legislation in fact provides for exemption from CITES certification for objects processed and acquired before June 1947 and significantly modified from their natural state for ornamental, artistic, jewellery or musical instrument use (i.e. only for material that was "processed" before 1947, and was transformed from its natural state through processing).
