Bronze vase/candlestick from the late 19th century (circa 1890) by the French sculptor Auguste Moreau (Dijón 1834 - 1917 Malesherbes). The vase/candlestick features a classically shaped round base with low-relief foliage. The central round section features two angels, one supporting the upper part and the other supporting the lower part of the rim. A rose branch is centrally depicted in low relief on both sides. The upper neck is hexagonal and has a five-centimeter cavity, making it solid bronze.
The use of two different patinas is noteworthy: the base is brownish-green, while the angels and rose branches are orangey-brown.
Good state of conservation.
